Church Under Construction Part 2
This is part 2 of our Church Under Construction Series. Pastor Michael is answering two more question about the early church.
1. What did the first church look like?
2. What does it look like now?
This morning, I’m going to give you a brief overview, of the five major times frames that took place in the history of the church.
1. Early Church – Death of Christ to 325 A.D. Or 30 A.D. – 325 A.D.
2. Establishment of Christianity – 325 A.D. to 590 A.D.
3. Rise of The Catholic Church from 590 A.D to 1517 A.D
4. Protestant Reformation 1517 A.D. to 1648 A.D
5. The Enlightenment of the Modern Church 1648 – Present
The church is really a battle ship and rescue ship, not a cruise ship or country club ship.
We are an army for God, out to destroy the works of the enemy.
We are here as a church to dismantle the works of darkness. As He is, so are we.
We are here to pull down the strongholds of the enemy.
